Fantastic full moon this month! So bright… I’ve not had the chance to get my camera out much lately, just been far too busy. However this shot was easy enough to take from the back door without the need to travel etc, just an opportunist shot!
The camera was tripod mounted of course, the longest zoom lens I have is a Canon 50-300mm so not really enough to get real close up and personal. For the geeks, here’s the EXIF data:
- f/5.6
- 1/500
- ISO 100
- 300mm
I had to process the photo in Camera Raw then Photoshop it a little, the image needed some contrast, sharpening and a warming filter added but that is all. The photo otherwise is as shot, the yellow around the right hand side of the moon is either chromatic aberration or just the horrible light pollution from a street light situated the end of the access road that runs behind our house.
Anyway the result although not stunning is below, it’s not too bad seeing as I don’t own an uber zoom lens! Click here for the full size image…
